Training during the lockdown

Since the lockdown hit, it’s been a mission adapting to training clients without being in the same room, however, adapt or die I guess.

The first way of reaching my clients was creating the workouts and sending them to some clients and having them film the movements and send them back to me.

After that I would edit the video and send them out to my other client base..

Now, this works to a certain extent, as each client has their own personal needs based on goals, weak points or rehabbing injuries.

The worst part was missing people I had gotten so close to..

After a couple of weeks I realized I needed to upgrade my tech game so I could get close up again with clients and also stay up to date with trends and do the necessary research I had gotten used to doing..

Data is a killer cost wise in South Africa so i Applied for Fibre and thanks to Vumatel and Afrihost I got hooked up within a week..

Next was getting schooled on how all this technology works..

Now a week in, I’m training clients via zoom skype and WhatsApp and realizing there Is a market that I can reach that I wouldn’t normally be able to reach, ie people stuck at home or in an office not able to reach me or any other trainer for that matter.

So here we are stuck in lockdown not knowing when it will end, but knowing that we have to keep it on the low in order to not be in danger of contracting the covid-19 virus or spreading it as so many are in danger..

So in closing , make sure to get your workouts in, in order to keep your immune system strong and to release those much needed endorphins needed to overcome the stress and anxiety of being in the situation we are all in.
