We are all going through these challenging times in our own different way, our different perspectives, based on our own individual realities directly impacts how we deal with the ups and downs..
In a perfect world, It would be great if we were all resilient and could bounce back from any of the ups and downs, but the reality is, when life throws you a curve ball it often knocks you off your bearings..
Truth be told, unless we are balanced in all the areas of wellness in our lives, ie physical, emotional, intellectual (mental), social, occupational, environmental and spiritual, it makes being resilient a bit of an impossibility.
When I break it up into the 7 dimensions of wellness it starts to make sense doesn’t it?
You begin to see how life isn’t just black and white and one size definitely does not fit all..
So how do we begin to feel okay in all the areas and why is it so important in order to get motivated into living the highest ideas of our selves?
It starts with the first step, and that means becoming aware of all the areas of wellness and what we need to do in order to be truly well..
Step 1
Set up Weekly/ daily goals in all these areas that have been proven to get you to a place of Wellness and that will automatically result in getting you to a place where you are able to be more resilient.
Here are some goals in all the dimensions of wellness that will help yoI become more aware, more equipped and definitely in a better space to deal and make the most of this journey called life.
Tips
Physical wellness - 30 minutes exercise a day and limit sugar and eat more natural food
Emotional wellness - write a list of all the things you are grateful for and add on what you would like and give thanks as if received
Mental/intellectual wellness - learn something new everyday and Repeat the mantra I am the prize
Occupational wellness - do the best that you can even if what your work is not the the perfect situation for you, as life happens while we are making planes
Social wellness - use this time or technology at your disposal to spend some quality time with loved ones, and Highlight the positives
Environmental wellness - Plant some veggies and nurture nature around you, clean up around you
Spiritual wellness - believe in something bigger than yourself and spend time as you wake and before bed time to be still and give thanks.. remember as bad as you may have it, there is always someone in a worse position or even worse, someone in an ok situation that just can’t see the blessings in their lives..
So remember, it’s all perspective and when we are well, or as well as can be, what and how we perceive life and the world will change.
Wishing you all wellness
